Grok + Specky
Connect Specky to Grok with Remote MCP
Specky connects to Grok through the remote MCP endpoint https://www.specky.space/api/mcp. Add that URL as a connector, authorize one workspace, and start with read tools before any write.
Canonical MCP endpoint
https://www.specky.space/api/mcpStreamable HTTP · OAuth 2.1 with PKCE · workspace key fallback
Setup
Connect Grok to Specky
Follow the provider-specific path below. The exact menu names and availability can change as each provider evolves its MCP and directory programs.
- 01
Add the Specky MCP endpoint
In the Grok connector or bot setup, add https://www.specky.space/api/mcp as a remote MCP server. The server is Streamable HTTP on public HTTPS.
- 02
Authorize one workspace
Complete Specky OAuth when the client supports it. Otherwise pass a workspace bearer token from a server-side secret, never from a page the user can view.
- 03
Read before you write
Allow get_product_context, search_workspace, read_workspace_item, list_recent_signals, and list_experiment_methods. Confirm the answers match the workspace you expect.
- 04
Let it do the product work
After the read path is right, allow create_experiment, create_decision, and create_document. Interview methods return a Vouch link. Lean Canvas writes the nine blocks onto the experiment.
What to test first
Use one bounded, read-first prompt so you can inspect the returned evidence and confirm the workspace boundary:
Find the strongest evidence behind this customer problem, show the sources and unknowns, and draft a problem statement. Do not create tickets or change records until I approve the draft.
Questions about Specky and Grok
Can a Grok bot run Specky product work?+
Yes, once it is connected to the Specky MCP endpoint and authorized for a workspace. The bot calls the same tools as Claude or Codex. Specky remains the place the experiment, the stakeholder context, and the decision are stored.
Which tools should the first bot use?+
Start with product context, search, read, recent signals, and the experiment library. Add create_experiment only after you have seen a read return the right workspace.
Does Grok replace the Specky workspace?+
No. Grok is a client. The product memory, the experiment, the validation page, and the Vouch handoff stay in Specky so the next session still has them.
