Claude + Specky
Connect Specky to Claude with a Remote MCP Connector
Specky connects to Claude as a remote MCP custom connector at https://www.specky.space/api/mcp. Add it privately in Claude first, authorize a workspace with OAuth, and treat Claude Directory publication as a separate reviewed submission.
Canonical MCP endpoint

Setup
Connect Claude to Specky
Follow the provider-specific path below. The exact menu names and availability can change as each provider evolves its MCP and directory programs.
- 01
Add a custom connector
In Claude’s connector settings, choose Add custom connector and enter the Specky MCP endpoint.
- 02
Complete OAuth consent
Claude follows Specky’s authorization metadata and returns to the connector after you choose the workspace and approve the requested scopes.
- 03
Test a read-first workflow
Ask Claude to search customer evidence or read a product item before enabling any action that creates or changes workspace records.
- 04
Submit to Claude Directory
Directory submission is separate from a private connector. Provide the owned endpoint, listing details, privacy and terms links, use cases, data handling, and review evidence.
What to test first
Use one bounded, read-first prompt so you can inspect the returned evidence and confirm the workspace boundary:
Find the strongest evidence behind this customer problem, show the sources and unknowns, and draft a problem statement. Do not create tickets or change records until I approve the draft.
Questions about Specky and Claude
Can I use Specky with Claude before directory approval?+
Yes. Claude supports custom remote MCP connectors for accounts and products where the connector surface is available; directory publication is a separate review process.
Which Specky workflow is best for a first Claude test?+
Start with a customer-feedback-to-spec question: find the strongest evidence, show citations and unknowns, and draft a problem statement without creating tickets.
Is the Claude connector workspace-scoped?+
Yes. Specky’s OAuth grant and workspace keys are scoped to a single workspace, and the server enforces workspace authorization before protected tools return data.
