Microsoft Copilot + Specky
Connect Specky to Microsoft Copilot Studio with MCP
Microsoft Copilot Studio can connect to an existing Streamable HTTP MCP server such as Specky. Add https://www.specky.space/api/mcp through the MCP onboarding flow, configure OAuth, inspect the discovered tools, and test before publishing the Copilot agent.
Canonical MCP endpoint
https://www.specky.space/api/mcpStreamable HTTP · OAuth 2.1 with PKCE · workspace key fallback
Setup
Connect Microsoft Copilot to Specky
Follow the provider-specific path below. The exact menu names and availability can change as each provider evolves its MCP and directory programs.
- 01
Open the MCP onboarding wizard
In a Copilot Studio agent, go to Tools, add a new Model Context Protocol tool, and enter Specky’s HTTPS MCP endpoint.
- 02
Configure OAuth 2.0
Choose OAuth 2.0 when the environment supports browser authorization, or use the credential method approved by your tenant. Keep the grant scoped to the intended Specky workspace.
- 03
Review the discovered tool descriptions
Copilot Studio reads the tools exposed by the server. Check names, descriptions, inputs, and write boundaries before saving the connection.
- 04
Test in Preview before publishing
Run a read-only customer-evidence prompt, inspect the activity trace, and only then decide whether the agent needs any write-capable tools.
What to test first
Use one bounded, read-first prompt so you can inspect the returned evidence and confirm the workspace boundary:
Find the strongest evidence behind this customer problem, show the sources and unknowns, and draft a problem statement. Do not create tickets or change records until I approve the draft.
Questions about Specky and Microsoft Copilot
Does connecting Specky to Copilot Studio publish a Microsoft marketplace listing?+
No. A Copilot Studio connection is a tenant or agent configuration. Microsoft governance, Agents 365 registration, certification, and catalog placement are separate processes.
Which MCP transport should I use with Copilot Studio?+
Use Streamable HTTP. Specky’s canonical endpoint supports that transport; legacy SSE should not be used for new Copilot Studio connections.
Can Copilot call Specky write tools?+
It can discover whatever tools the authorized server exposes, but Specky’s recommended setup is read-first and human-reviewed. Keep consequential actions disabled until the tenant’s governance and approval path is ready.
