Connect Help Scout to Specky
Import support conversations and customer language from Help Scout.
Specky pulls from Help Scout on a schedule
Once connected, Specky keeps itself up to date with Help Scout in the background — refreshing when you open your workspace, or on demand whenever you want it now rather than later.
Connecting Help Scout
The short version. The setup guide has the full walkthrough, with every field and screen named.
- 1
In Help Scout, create or open an OAuth application from Your Profile → My apps.
- 2
Complete the OAuth flow or use a client-credentials token for an internal integration.
- 3
Give the token permission to read conversations and copy the resulting access token.
- 4
In Specky, open Settings → Integrations → Help Scout, paste the token, and optionally add a mailbox ID.
What you'll need
OAuth Access TokenRequired
A Help Scout OAuth access token with permission to read conversations.
Mailbox ID (optional)Optional
Limit the sync to one inbox. Leave blank to read the accessible mailboxes.
Turn Help Scout into product evidence
Everything from Help Scout becomes searchable evidence, not another inbox
Recurring themes surface on their own instead of waiting to be noticed
PRDs and decisions cite the actual customer, with a link back to the source
Ask the AI chat what customers say about a feature and get an answer grounded in Help Scout
Before you connect it
What does Specky do with my Help Scout data?
It becomes part of your product graph: searchable, clustered with related feedback from your other tools, and quotable in PRDs and decisions. It is never used to train AI models, and it stays in your workspace.
Will Specky import my existing Help Scout history?
Yes. The first sync brings in recent history so you have something to work with straight away, and Specky keeps up with new activity after that.
What do I need to connect Help Scout?
OAuth Access Token — all of it from your own Help Scout account. The full walkthrough is in the setup guide.
How long does it take to set up?
A few minutes. You create a credential in Help Scout, paste it into Specky, and you're connected. Step-by-step instructions are in the setup guide.
Can I disconnect Help Scout later?
Yes, from Settings → Integrations, at any time. Disconnecting removes the connection and the data it brought in.
Do I need to be on a paid plan?
Every plan can connect integrations; the number you can run at once depends on your plan, and a few providers are limited to Scale. Settings → Usage shows where you stand.
Bring Help Scout into your product graph
Connect it in a few minutes, then let Specky do the reading.
