Connect Instagram to Specky
Connect an Instagram Business or Creator account through Facebook Login, then publish approved square product updates from Specky's Marketing Command Center.
What Instagram does
The tool, in plain language.
Instagram is a visual publishing channel for product updates, launch moments, and customer-facing stories.
Why connect it to Specky?
Keep the useful context attached.
Connect Instagram when a reviewed visual should be published from the same campaign workflow, with the image and caption kept together.
- Approved visual posts
- Launch and product updates
- Human-reviewed publishing schedules
Instagram is a visual publishing channel
Specky sends an approved square image, caption, and schedule to Instagram through the connected Facebook Page and Instagram account. It does not turn Instagram into an inbound feedback feed.
Know what this connection is for.
A useful integration is clear about its boundary: what Specky can receive, what it returns to your product workflow, and what it deliberately does not do.
You provide
- An approved 1080×1080 image and caption
- A connected Instagram Business or Creator account linked to a Facebook Page
- A manual publish action or an intentionally enabled schedule
Specky gives back
- The approved visual post sent to Instagram
- A returned media reference when Instagram accepts it
- A campaign record showing what was approved and when it was published
A real example
You approve a square product update with its caption. Specky sends that exact image and caption through the connected Page, then records the provider reference; it does not ingest comments or expose your Product Graph.
Connecting Instagram
Here’s the quick version. The setup guide walks through every field and screen.
- 1
Configure the Instagram app credentials and callback URL for your Specky deployment.
- 2
Choose Connect in Integrations from the Marketing Command Center.
- 3
Sign in with Facebook and select the Page linked to the intended Instagram account.
- 4
Approve one square post and publish it manually before enabling a schedule.
Before you connect
An Instagram Business or Creator accountRequired
The account must be linked to the Facebook Page used during the OAuth flow.
A configured Instagram Graph API appRequired
The deployment needs the current app credentials and publishing permissions.
Turn an approved idea into a visual update
Approved 1080×1080 visual posts published from the same content workflow
Captions and publishing times kept with the campaign record
A returned post reference when Instagram accepts the media
No accidental inbound or unreviewed publishing claim
Before you connect it
Which Instagram accounts work?
The account must be a Business or Creator account linked to a Facebook Page. A personal account is not the supported publishing target.
Does Instagram become a feedback source?
No. This connection publishes approved updates. Capture a public comment or mention with the Chrome extension, REST API, or another supported source route.
Can the schedule publish without approval?
No. Instagram posts stay in Specky until they are approved; the schedule controls when approved work is sent.
What does Instagram receive?
Instagram receives the approved square image, caption, and publishing request from Specky; it does not receive your Product Graph.
Bring Instagram into your product graph
Connect it in a few minutes, then let Specky do the reading.
