Connect LinkedIn to Specky
Connect LinkedIn to the Marketing Command Center so approved product stories and branded cards can be published on demand or on the schedule your team chooses.
What LinkedIn does
The tool, in plain language.
LinkedIn is a professional publishing channel where product launches, customer stories, and point-of-view posts reach your audience.
Why connect it to Specky?
Keep the useful context attached.
Connect LinkedIn when approved content should move from the Specky campaign into publishing without losing the human review step.
- Approved launch posts
- Branded campaign cards
- Keeping publishing records with the campaign
LinkedIn is a publishing channel
Specky sends approved post copy and, when included, a branded card image to the connected LinkedIn account. It does not import private LinkedIn conversations as Product Graph evidence.
Know what this connection is for.
A useful integration is clear about its boundary: what Specky can receive, what it returns to your product workflow, and what it deliberately does not do.
You provide
- Approved post copy and an optional branded card image
- A connected LinkedIn profile or organization with publishing access
- A deliberate publish-now action or an enabled schedule
Specky gives back
- The approved post published to LinkedIn
- A returned post URL or provider reference when publishing succeeds
- A publishing record that stays attached to the campaign in Specky
A real example
You approve a short launch post and its branded card. Specky sends exactly that approved payload to LinkedIn and returns the live post reference; it does not send your Product Graph or read private messages.
Connecting LinkedIn
Here’s the quick version. The setup guide walks through every field and screen.
- 1
Configure the LinkedIn app credentials and callback URL for your Specky deployment.
- 2
Open the Marketing Command Center and choose Connect under LinkedIn.
- 3
Approve the requested LinkedIn permissions.
- 4
Approve one post and choose Publish Now before enabling a recurring schedule.
Before you connect
A configured LinkedIn developer appRequired
The deployment needs the LinkedIn client ID and secret, plus the matching callback URL.
A LinkedIn account with publishing accessRequired
Connect the profile or organization that should publish the approved posts.
Publish the work you approved
Approved posts published without copying them into another tool
Branded card images attached when the campaign includes one
A returned post URL for checking what went live
A human approval step before publishing remains the default
Before you connect it
Does the LinkedIn connection ingest customer feedback?
No. LinkedIn is a send-only publishing connection. Use a source integration, the Chrome extension, REST, or a webhook to capture product evidence.
Can Specky publish drafts automatically?
No. A LinkedIn post must be approved first, and scheduled publishing must be enabled intentionally.
Where do I connect LinkedIn?
Use the Marketing Command Center. The public page explains the setup; the actual OAuth flow is available inside your workspace.
What does LinkedIn receive?
LinkedIn receives only the approved post copy, optional branded card image, and publishing request that you send from Specky.
Bring LinkedIn into your product graph
Connect it in a few minutes, then let Specky do the reading.
