LinkedIn Publishing Integration
What this connection is for
LinkedIn is a publishing connection, not a Product Graph source. Specky uses it to publish approved text posts and branded card images from the Marketing Command Center on a schedule or when you choose Publish Now.
Connect it
- Create or configure a LinkedIn developer app for the profile or organization that should publish.
- Register the callback URL for your deployed Specky origin:
/api/integrations/linkedin/callback. - Configure the LinkedIn client ID and secret in the deployment environment.
- In Specky, open the Marketing Command Center and choose Connect under LinkedIn.
- Approve the requested LinkedIn permissions and return to Specky.
What goes out
- Approved social post copy.
- A generated branded card image when the post includes one.
- The scheduled publishing time and resulting post URL when LinkedIn returns it.
Drafts stay in Specky until someone approves them. Connecting LinkedIn does not give the AI permission to publish an unreviewed post or read private LinkedIn conversations.
A safe first post
Create one short post from an approved product insight, review the copy and image, then use Publish Now. Once the result looks right, turn on the scheduled publishing setting for the cadence your team can actually review.
Troubleshooting
- Connect is unavailable: check the LinkedIn client ID and secret and confirm the callback URL matches the deployment URL exactly.
- The post is not published: check that the post is approved and that the connected account has publishing permission.
- The wrong account is connected: disconnect it from the Marketing Command Center and repeat the OAuth flow with the intended account.
See the LinkedIn integration page for the workflow and the Integrations Overview for product-data sources.
