Telegram pushes to Specky in real time
Telegram has no history API, so nothing is polled — Telegram calls Specky the moment something happens, and it lands in your product graph immediately. The trade-off is that there is no backfill: anything that happened before you connected it cannot be pulled in afterwards, so it's worth connecting before the conversations you care about.

Open Telegram, message @BotFather

Send /newbot and follow the prompts to name your bot

Copy the token BotFather gives you (looks like 123456789:AA...)

Add the bot to your community group or channel (as an admin if you want it to read all messages, not just mentions)

Add @userinfobot to the same group briefly, or forward a message from the group to it

What does Specky do with my Telegram data?
It becomes part of your product graph: searchable, clustered with related feedback from your other tools, and quotable in PRDs and decisions. It is never used to train AI models, and it stays in your workspace.
Will Specky import my existing Telegram history?
No — and this is worth knowing before you start. Telegram doesn't offer an API that lets Specky ask what happened in the past, so data only arrives from the moment you finish connecting it. Set it up before the conversations you want captured, not after.
What do I need to connect Telegram?
Bot Token, Chat ID — all of it from your own Telegram account. The full walkthrough is in the setup guide.
How long does it take to set up?
A few minutes. You create a credential in Telegram, paste it into Specky, and you're connected, plus one step to point Telegram's webhook at Specky. Step-by-step instructions are in the setup guide.
Can I disconnect Telegram later?
Yes, from Settings → Integrations, at any time. Disconnecting removes the connection and the data it brought in.
Do I need to be on a paid plan?
Every plan can connect integrations; the number you can run at once depends on your plan, and a few providers are limited to Scale. Settings → Usage shows where you stand.
