Granola Integration
What this connection is for
Bring Granola meeting notes, summaries, transcripts, and action items into Specky while the decisions are still fresh.
How your data reaches Specky
Specky pulls from Granola on a schedule. A sync runs when you open your workspace if the data is stale, and you can also start one by hand from the integration card.
Before you start
- Granola API key (Required) — Create a personal or workspace API key in Granola → Settings → Connectors → API keys.
- Import meetings after (optional) (Optional) — Use an ISO date to control the first backfill. Future syncs keep the same window.
Setup
Open Settings → Integrations, find Granola, and click Connect. The form will tell you what to paste and where to find it.
Create a Granola API key
- Open Granola desktop and go to Settings → Connectors → API keys.
- Create a personal or workspace key with access to the notes you want Specky to read.
- Copy the key (it starts with
grn_) and paste it above.
What Specky imports
- Meeting titles, dates, participants, and AI summaries
- Full transcripts when Granola has finished processing the note
- Action items and the source note link when Granola provides them
Granola's API only exposes notes that have a generated summary and transcript. Specky keeps the provider's note ID, so re-syncing updates the same graph signal instead of duplicating it.
After connecting
New Granola items appear in Discovery alongside your other sources. You can search them, ask questions about them, and cite them in product work without opening another tab.
Disconnecting Granola removes the connection and the signals it brought in.
Troubleshooting
- Connected, but nothing appears. Open the Granola card and run a sync by hand. If it errors, the card shows the reason.
- "Upgrade to connect". Your plan caps how many integrations you can connect at once, and a few providers are Scale-only. Settings → Usage shows where you stand.
- Credentials stopped working. Tokens expire and get revoked. Reconnect with a fresh one — your existing signals are kept.
See the Granola integration page for what it's for and the questions people usually ask first, or the Integrations Overview for how integrations work in general.
