A gentle first run

Get one useful thing working before you configure everything.

Start with one real product question. Specky helps you turn it into something you can review.

Try saying

“Here is what we are hearing from customers. What is the clearest problem to solve first?”

Bring one thing

A product URL, note, or customer quote.

Ask clearly

Connecting Your First Integration

Start with the source that can answer your first question

Start with the place where your most useful product evidence already lives:

  • Team conversations: Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord, Telegram, or Product Hunt
  • Customer conversations: Gong, Zoom, Loom, Intercom, Zendesk, Freshdesk, Help Scout, JustCall, HubSpot, or Salesforce
  • Delivery work: Jira, GitHub, Linear, Azure DevOps, Asana, ClickUp, Trello, or Shortcut
  • Usage and reliability: PostHog, Pendo, Sentry, Datadog, Amplitude, Mixpanel, Segment, Snowflake, or Stripe
  • Existing knowledge: Google Workspace, Notion, Confluence, Miro, Figma, Typeform, or LaunchNotes

You do not need to connect everything. One trusted source plus one clear question is enough for a useful first result.

What you can connect

Specky currently has 51 native connections on the Integrations page: Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google Workspace, Outlook, Product Hunt, Discord, Telegram, WhatsApp, SMS, Notion, Confluence, Miro, Figma, Typeform, LaunchNotes, Granola, Zapier, n8n, Custom API, GitHub, Jira, Linear, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Planner, Asana, ClickUp, Trello, Shortcut, HubSpot, Intercom, Salesforce, Zendesk, Gainsight, Freshdesk, Help Scout, Gong, JustCall, Zoom, Loom, PostHog, Pendo, Sentry, Datadog, Amplitude, Mixpanel, Segment, Snowflake, Stripe, fonio.ai, ElevenLabs, and Chatarmin.

If your source is not listed, use REST, webhooks, file upload, URL import, the Chrome extension, or an MCP server.

Connect it in five steps

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations
  2. Click Connect next to the integration you want
  3. Follow that provider's setup instructions in the dialog — some use OAuth, others use an API key, bot token, or webhook
  4. Choose which channels, projects, repos, folders, or data types to sync
  5. Start the first sync and wait until the integration card says Connected

What goes in, and what you should see

GitHubPRs, issues, commit messages
GongCall transcripts and summaries
LinearIssues and project updates

PostHog / Pendo / Amplitude / MixpanelProduct events, trends, guides, surveys, or funnels depending on source

The result is more than a copy of the source. Specky turns imported records into searchable graph signals and keeps the original source, title, timestamp, and link attached. Alex can cite those signals in a PRD, group them into a theme, or connect them to an opportunity, decision, ticket, or outcome.

A complete example

You want to understand why teams abandon your invite flow. Connect Slack and select the channel where customer-facing conversations happen. Specky can now look for repeated invite problems, while unrelated private channels stay out of the first sync.

Then ask Alex:

Find the strongest evidence for invite-flow drop-off from the last 60 days. Group the reasons, show the original quotes, and propose the smallest test we should run next.

Expected output:

  1. A short list of recurring problems, grouped by theme
  2. Links and quotes back to the Slack messages that support each theme
  3. A confidence signal showing where evidence is strong or thin
  4. A proposed experiment or PRD draft that you can review before sharing

After connecting

Specky will begin indexing your data. The first sync usually takes 5–15 minutes, depending on how much you selected. You’ll see signals appear in the Discovery Hub when indexing is complete. Webhook and push-based sources work differently: the first signal arrives with a new event, rather than from a historical import.

If the first sync is empty

  • Check that the token or OAuth permission was granted to the right workspace
  • Confirm you selected at least one channel, project, repo, folder, or data type
  • For Slack, Discord, Telegram, and Teams, make sure the bot can read the target channel
  • For Google Workspace, check the service toggles and Gmail query in the Google Workspace card
  • For webhook or push-based sources, send a new test event instead of waiting for a historical import
  • Open the integration card and use Sync now after correcting the source permissions
