Situation

You want repeatable intelligence work — a weekly competitive brief, a monthly synthesis of customer feedback, or a daily summary of new Slack signals. You want this to run automatically without you prompting it every time.

What you need

  • A clear description of the intelligence you want
  • Any relevant integrations connected (Slack, Gong, etc.)
  • 5 minutes to define the workflow

    • Steps

    1. Open AI Chat and describe the workflow

    `` I want to create a workflow that runs every Monday at 8am and does the following:

  • Search the web for news and product updates from [Competitor A] and [Competitor B] in the last 7 days
  • Cross-reference any competitor moves against our open OKRs and opportunities
  • Write a 200-word brief summarising: what they shipped, what it means for us, and what we should watch
  • Deliver the brief to my PM Inbox as a "Competitive Update" item

    2. Review the workflow plan

    Specky responds with a structured workflow plan showing:

  • The steps it will execute
  • The tools it will use (web search, graph search, synthesis)
  • The output format
  • The schedule

    • Review and adjust: *"Change the schedule to Friday at 5pm"* or *"Also include G2 reviews in the research step."*

    3. Approve and save

    Click Save Workflow when satisfied. The workflow is versioned and stored in Workflows → Custom.

    4. Test immediately

    Click Run now to test the workflow before the first scheduled run. Review the output in your PM Inbox. If it's off, edit the workflow description and run again.

    5. Monitor and refine

    After a few runs, you'll see patterns in what's useful and what's noise. Edit the workflow directly in the Workflows view, or ask AI Chat to adjust it:

    Customer feedback synthesis? Replace the competitive research steps with: *"Read new Slack messages in #customer-feedback, new Gong calls, and new Alex responses. Cluster by theme. Deliver a 5-item summary of the strongest signals."*

    Sprint health check? *"Every Friday at 4pm, read the current Jira sprint. For each ticket marked done, check if there's a linked outcome metric. Flag any shipped tickets with no outcome tracking."*

    Investor update prep? *"On the last Friday of every month, draft a 3-paragraph investor update using our validated experiments, shipped features, and OKR progress from the last 30 days."*
