Turn a decision into motion

Kanban Board is most useful when it helps you make one real decision.

Keep the reason for the work attached while you move from a reviewed spec to delivery.

Try saying

“Turn this approved spec into the smallest set of tickets the team can ship.”

Start with the spec

Make the decision and acceptance criteria clear.

Shape the work

Split it into reviewable pieces.

Track the flow

See what is moving and what is blocked.

Kanban Board

What this is for

Understand what is waiting, blocked, in progress, or done without reconstructing status from messages.

When this helps

  • Work status lives in different tools.
  • Blocked items are hidden in a long list.
  • A roadmap says what should happen but not what is moving now.

How it works

The board groups delivery tickets by status and lets the team move work across the workflow. It is the execution view; the PRD, decision, and customer evidence remain linked to the card.

Before you start

  • Tickets generated or imported into Specky.
  • A status model such as Open, In Progress, Blocked, and Done.
  • Owners and delivery context.

What you should see

  • A live view of delivery flow.
  • Visible blockers and stalled work.
  • A direct path from card to the source document and evidence.

Try it now

  1. Open Delivery Board and scan for blocked or stale cards first.
  2. Open a card before moving it if the status is unclear.
  3. Drag the card to the next accurate stage and add the reason for a block.
  4. Use the linked PRD or ticket system for detail, and keep this board as the team’s flow view.

A real example

Three stories are in progress but the mobile acceptance criterion is missing. You mark that card blocked, link the PRD section, and make the missing decision visible instead of letting it silently age.

Your next move

Create a clean handoff with Execution Bridge.
