What it does
Import board cards and delivery context into the evidence loop.
How your data reaches Specky
Specky pulls from Trello on a schedule. A sync runs when you open your workspace if the data has gone stale, and you can trigger one by hand from the integration card at any time.
What you'll need
- API Key (Required) — Generate it from your Trello Power-Up's API Key page.
- User Token (Required) — The token paired with the API key. It is encrypted and never shown after connecting.
- Board ID (Required) — The ID from your Trello board URL or board settings.
- Default List ID (optional) (Optional) — Cards are created in this open list. Leave blank to use the first open list on the board.
Setup
Go to Settings → Integrations, find Trello, and click Connect.
Create credentials
- Open Trello Power-Ups and open the API Key tab for your Power-Up.
- Copy the API key, then click the token link beside it to create a user token.
- Copy the board ID from the board URL or board settings.
- In Specky, open Settings → Integrations → Trello and paste the three values.

Specky imports the selected board and can create or update cards from the Tickets view and Execution Bridge. New cards use the configured list, or the first open list when no list ID is supplied. Specky does not archive or move cards.
After connecting
Everything Specky pulls in from Trello shows up in Discovery alongside your other sources, and feeds synthesis, clustering, and the AI chat's answers about your product. You don't have to do anything with it directly — it's there so the rest of Specky has something to reason over.
Disconnecting Trello removes both the connection and the signals it brought in.
Troubleshooting
- Connected, but nothing appears. Open the Trello card and run a sync by hand. If it errors, the card shows the reason.
- "Upgrade to connect". Your plan caps how many integrations you can connect at once, and a few providers are Scale-only. Settings → Usage shows where you stand.
- Credentials stopped working. Tokens expire and get revoked. Reconnect with a fresh one — your existing signals are kept.
