Gong Integration
What it does
The Gong integration pulls call transcripts and AI-generated summaries from your Gong account into Specky, turning sales and customer success conversations into structured product signals. This is often the richest source of unfiltered customer feedback — customers say things on calls that they'd never write in a support ticket.
Specky processes Gong transcripts to extract:
Feature requests and pain points mentioned by customers
Competitor mentions and comparisons
Objections and concerns raised during sales calls
Praise and positive feedback about specific features
Speaker-attributed quotes you can use directly in PRDs and stakeholder presentationsWhen to use it

Go to Settings → Integrations → Gong
Click Connect Gong
Authorize with your Gong admin credentials (requires Gong admin role)
Configure which call types to sync:

Sales calls (discovery, demo, negotiation)

Customer success calls (onboarding, QBR, support)

Internal calls (optional — useful for capturing internal product discussions)
Set the sync date range (default: 90 days back)
Click Start Sync — initial indexing may take 30–60 minutes for large call librariesWhat gets synced

Call metadata: date, duration, participants, deal stage (for sales calls)
Gong-identified topics and action itemsPrivacy note: Specky respects Gong's call recording consent settings. Calls that are marked as restricted in Gong are not synced.
Using Gong signals
Gong signals appear in the Discovery Hub like any other signal. Because they're longer than Slack messages, Specky automatically extracts the most relevant excerpts and surfaces them as individual signal cards — you see the key quote, not the full transcript.

Tips
Work with your sales and CS teams to ensure calls are being recorded and transcribed in Gong
Use the Speaker filter in the Discovery Hub to filter signals by customer vs. internal speaker
Set up an alert for competitor mentions to get notified when a competitor is mentioned in a call
Use the Quote feature to save specific customer quotes for use in stakeholder presentations
